As a foreign citizen legally residing in Romania, you need to know that you have both rights and obligations. Your work visa gives you the right to stay during the period of the employment contract. You are entitled to a work schedule that includes two days of rest. If you work 12 hour shifts, you get 24 hours of rest until your next shift. For your work you must be paid monthly, preferably in your personal bank account. Your salary can only be withheld in cases of disciplinary breach, a fact of which you must be informed through a written document.
